Maria Nutile’s practice has been focused in the business area, in the negotiation of mergers and acquisitions, business planning for the emerging business and the structuring of various forms of health care providers and joint ventures.  Maria has extensive experience in the structuring of integrated delivery systems, including the formation of various health care insurers, physician and other provider groups, management service organizations and ancillary health care facilities.  In addition to advising healthcare clients with respect to business and regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, Stark, antikickback, physician self-referral issues and anti-trust, Maria also counsels clients during federal and state investigations and self-audits involving regulatory compliance issues.

Maria has been awarded Lawyer of the Year four times in the past six consecutive years and was also named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation in 2019 for her outstanding dedication to the legal profession and welfare of her community.

Maria received her undergraduate degree from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She also attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for a Master of Business with a concentration in Accounting, after receiving her juris doctorate from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire, now the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Maria also received her Masters in Law in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. She commenced her legal career with the law firm of Sheehan, Phinney, Bass & Green in Manchester, New Hampshire. After moving west Maria practiced with a large regional law firm where she was a partner in the firm’s business and finance practice group before starting her own firm in 2002. Maria is an active member of the Arizona, Colorado and Nevada Bar Associations and inactive in New Hampshire. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the American Health Law Association and has been named Best Lawyer of the Year in Health Care in the Las Vegas market by her peers in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021.
